IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM DPW: Bulk, White Metal and Yard Debris pick-up will be suspended until further notice. Garbage and Recycling pick-up
will continue on the regular schedule. Public Works Drop Off Schedule 

Municipal Buildings are closed to the public until further notice. We are still open for business via email and phone calls. 

City Parks have been opened with certain restrictions. Residents are required to adhere to social distancing in the parks. Additionally, the wearing of face coverings is strongly encouraged. Parking lots will be limited to 50% capacity. The City will continue to monitor the on-going changes and data as it becomes available and will exercise its discretion to make additions, amendments, clarifications, exceptions and exclusions.

Please be reminded that you can pay your taxes and parking tickets online. A lock box for taxes and permits has been placed in front of City Hall doors. 

PROPERTY TAX GRACE PERIOD HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JUNE 1, 2020.

Welcome to the City of Englewood

Nestled in the heart of Bergen County and yet only ten miles from Times Square, Englewood offers the best of both worlds - a charming and inclusive town with unparalleled diversity and a bustling Downtown center filled with excellent restaurants, shops and much more. 

Our city government is working to leverage our assets more than ever, bringing new cultural, shopping, entertainment and housing opportunities to our diverse city every day.  Unlike many other towns in New Jersey, our City boasts a unique set of destinations including BergenPAC, a regional performing arts destination, Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, a major regional health center, Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, a nature preserve minutes away from the George Washington Bridge, and numerous houses of worship representing many different denominations, to name only a few. 

In Englewood, we believe that local government has an important role to play to ensure that our residents receive excellent services and the ample opportunities they deserve. We take great pride in being a compassionate, caring City that takes care of its most vulnerable residents, celebrates its diversity and encourages all residents to step forward and contribute by becoming involved in public service.
