Welcome to the City of Englewood

Nestled in the heart of Bergen County and yet only ten miles from Times Square, Englewood offers the best of both worlds - a charming and inclusive town with unparalleled diversity and a bustling Downtown center filled with excellent restaurants, shops and much more.

Our city government is working to leverage our assets more than ever, bringing new cultural, shopping, entertainment and housing opportunities to our diverse city every day.  Unlike many other towns in New Jersey, our City boasts a unique set of destinations including BergenPAC, a regional performing arts destination, Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, a major regional health center, Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, a nature preserve minutes away from the George Washington Bridge, and numerous houses of worship representing many different denominations, to name only a few.

In Englewood, we believe that local government has an important role to play to ensure that our residents receive excellent services and the ample opportunities they deserve. We take great pride in being a compassionate, caring City that takes care of its most vulnerable residents, celebrates its diversity and encourages all residents to step forward and contribute by becoming involved in public service.

After you check out our website, I invite you to come stroll our downtown, enjoy one of our fine dining establishments, browse our boutiques or take in a show at the thriving BergenPAC.

If you don’t already call Englewood home, I guarantee you will want to.
