The Tax Assessor’s function involves the discovery and listing of all real property within the City of Englewood; the determination and taxability and assessment, the listing of all properties on the Real Property Tax List, the Exempt Property List and the Added and Omitted Assessment Lists.
The 2021 Assessments for the City of Englewood can be found on the New Jersey Association of County Tax Board website: www.njactb.org
The 2021 Tax List contains 7,567 taxable properties and 261 tax-exempt properties. The Net Valuation Taxable is $4,487,503,500; tax-exempt assessments total $629,348,400.
Chapter 75 Post Cards were mailed in February stating the 2021assessed value. Taxpayers have the right to file an appeal with the Bergen County Board of Taxation if they are not satisfied with their assessment. Tax appeal forms (with instructions) can be obtained on line at: www.njactb.org or by calling the Bergen County Tax Board at: 201-336-6300. The deadline to file an appeal is April 1, 2021.
