The mission of the Englewood Department of Public Works is to maintain and enhance the quality of life for all residents, businesses, and visitors by ensuring the effective maintenance and operation of the city's infrastructure and public spaces.
Responsibilities
The DPW is responsible for:
Streets, Curbs, and Sidewalks: Maintaining and repairing city streets, curbs, and sidewalks to ensure safe and efficient transportation routes.
Sanitation Services: Providing garbage and trash removal services, including the collection and disposal of waste materials to promote public health and cleanliness.
Sewer Systems: Managing the city's storm and sanitary sewer systems to prevent flooding and ensure proper wastewater treatment.
City Properties: Overseeing the maintenance of city-owned properties, ensuring that public buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

Divisions
The DPW comprises several divisions, each focusing on specific aspects of public works:
Operations Division: Handles the general operations of the department, excluding those assigned to other specific divisions.
Vehicle Maintenance Division: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of city-owned vehicles and equipment.
Public Buildings Division: Focuses on the custodial maintenance and repair of city-owned buildings and facilities.
